Troop / Group Camping
Camp Osito Rancho, the council’s 4-season
mountain-top, 160-acre facility in Big Bear
Lake can be rented year round by Girl
Scout troops/groups (subject to availability). You provide programming,
staff, etc. Hiking. Ropes. Course. Pool. (Staffing required) Tent units,
Dining Hall, Eils’ Lodge and the Health
Center can be used
for sleeping and activities. (See below for Adult Camping, Backpacking
Training Course.)
Osito rancho service project / PROGRAM AID
TRAINING
June 6/8, June 13-15, August 2-4
(horse
corral area), and September 26-28. Come to work and have a blast!
(FREE / grades 6+). Registered Adult Girl Scouts welcome. No experience
necessary. Help get the camp in shape and earn service and leadership
hours. A fun way to learn skills (painting, building, handling tools, pool
and trail maintenance, tents, ecology projects, etc.). Plus, campfire fun
(singing, s’mores), astronomy, star gazing,
swimming, and canoeing. Staffed. Minimum 10-12 participants. Meals,
accommodations included. Program Aid Training, July 13-15.

Outdoor Camping and
Backpacking Training for registered Girl Scout Adult Volunteers (18+ years)
will be held August 7 (Council Headquarters) and the weekend of August 22-24 at Osito Rancho. For
