Membership & Program Initiatives

After 81 years of activity in Los Angeles area, Angeles Girl Scout Council continues to expand membership services through outreach initiatives that connect underserved girls to Girl Scouts and offer support to first-time Girl Scouts.

Angeles Girl Scout Council has also created several program initiatives to address the needs of girls in our community, including the topics of financial literacy, health and wellness, outdoor education/camping and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math).

Bilingual Leadership Mentoring for Adult Volunteers

AGSC offers bilingual (English/Spanish) recruitment, training and mentoring for first-time Girl Scout adult volunteers. Special training is also provided for banking, budgeting and planning skills necessary to meet girl Scout troop operational standards.

First-time Girl Scouts

AGSC’s unique “Introduction to Girl Scouts” is especially for families who have no Girl Scout legacy. All girls ages 5-17 are invited to join Girl Scouts at any time of the year. Parents and other adults without Girl Scout experience are encouraged to become Girl Scout volunteers. Our Leadership Mentors and other experienced volunteers are available to provided guidance.
