get the forms. Forms (.pdf) can be downloaded. ADULT SERVICE AWARD: This
award recognizes continuous years of service as an active, registered volunteer
in the Girl Scouts. For 5 to 20 years, the Neighborhood will present the pins.
At the annual Adult Volunteer Recognition Awards Banquet, pins at 25 years and
at each additional 5-year intervals will be presented. ANGELES AWARD: This
award recognizes a registered volunteer or group of volunteers who have given
special service performed beyond the Neighborhood level that benefits more than
one Neighborhood. COMMUNITY AWARD: This
award recognizes superior service, contributions or assistance to Girl Scouting in Angeles
Council by a group or individual in the community that is not registered with
Girl Scouts. FAMILY AWARD: This
award recognizes more than one family member of the same family who are registered
volunteers in AGSC. It is presented for service rendered over a period of time
by more than one family member. The service enhances Girl Scouting and benefits
girls beyond the troop level. NEIGHBORHOOD OUTSTANDING VOLUNTEER AWARD: This
award recognizes a registered volunteer active
in the neighborhood, who has completed appropriate training, and performed at
a level that exceeds expectations for the position(s). The Neighborhood sets the
criteria and selection must be made by Neighborhood vote. OUTSTANDING LEADER AWARD: This
award recognizes a registered volunteer Troop Leader, Co-Leader, or Assistant
Leader who has completed appropriate training, and her/his performance has exceeded
expectations as outlined in the position description. OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY AWARD: This
award recognizes outstanding service to another
group or agency in the community, and promotion of Girl Scouting in that community
by an active registered volunteer. GIRL SCOUT SPIRIT AWARD: This
award recognizes a registered individual or group who has completed a specific
Girl Scout project or developed a program that exemplifies the essence of Girl
Scouting (program goals, Promise, Law, etc). THANKS BADGE: This
is one of the highest awards given. It recognizes a registered volunteer who has
provided outstanding service that benefited or will benefit the total Council or entire
Girl Scouting movement, and is so significant that no other award is appropriate.
Two to four letters of endorsement must accompany the nomination. THANKS BADGE II: This is the highest award given. It recognizes
a registered volunteer who previously received the Thanks Badge. Since then, this
volunteer has continued to contribute in outstanding ways that benefit or will
benefit the total Council or entire Girl Scout movement, and is of such significance
that no other award is appropriate. Four letters of endorsement must accompany
the nomination.
